To support the ongoing success of a legacy non-profit organization and improving quality education in Ethiopia.

Imagine 1 Day International Organization (“I1D”) was established and endowed by Chip and Summer Wilson in 2007. It was set up with the powerful goal of ensuring that all Ethiopian children have access to quality education, free from foreign aid by 2030. Ethiopia was chosen because Chip and Summer wanted to partner with people who have a strong vision for their future. It was a nation ready for prosperity and eager to collaborate with a shared purpose.

The organization moved its management to Ontario in May 2017 when the Wilson’s merged I1D with WE Charity and transferred administrative support to WE Charity.  Given the significant challenges faced by WE, the WE Charity founders and the Wilson family worked to transition I1D’s Canadian operations back to Vancouver in 2020 to ensure its ongoing success.

Country Director, Dr. Seid Aman, is the operational and fundraising leader of the organization. Seid has cultivated powerful relationships with large, grant-making organizations such as Costa Foundation, Coca-Cola, and UNICEF.

To date, 510 schools have been built and over 265,000 students are enrolled annually.
